  1. Being able to be home with my kids, they grow up so fast!
  2. Having the flexibility to go to school events without asking permission from a boss!
  3. Being able to be part of groups like MOPS (Mothers of Pre-schoolers!)
  4. I can stay in my jammies alllllll day if I want to :)
  5. Getting to do things with other SAHM and their kids like playdates, getting together for coffee …just being my own boss!

  6. Being able to plan my day according to my schedule.
  7. Having morning cuddles in bed for just as long as we want to!
  8. Getting hugs and loves on and off all day from my little one (it’s the best!)
  9. Being able to do little things around my house, decorate, paint etc which I enjoy
  10. Having the flexibility to help in my daughter’s pre-school class when I want to.

There are so many many more reasons but there are a few of the ones I came up with.  What are you top ten things you like about being a Stay at Home Mom?

Go on, go do something fun with your kids! (We are making stepping stones today!)

18 Feb 2009 Our Daugher the Little Princess…..

I have to say it is kind of new for me to have a little girl that is girlie and all about being a princess and looking pretty! I was never really that way growing up and my oldest daughter was a bit of a tomboy when she was little and not really into the girlie things.

Since she is only three I really haven’t bought any play makeup or anything but it seems to have found it’s way into our house Beautiful Emmaanyway through gifts and friends and during our last trip to the big city my darling husband got talked into buying some “Princess Makeup” by our daughter who has him firmly wrapped around her little finger. There was “lipstick” and “eye shadow” and hair clips, she thought it was the best and daddy was happy because it was on clearance! (he just loves a deal!)

She had the best time that day putting on her new makeup and making everyone look beautiful. She even got the boys involved!! They were happy to oblige……She was having a grand ol’ time!

She is really pretty reasonable when I say, “OK, we can put some on now but mommy will keep it in a special place.” However, one day the boys I sit for and she were playing and they found the make-up. I averted disaster by checking on them as they were in the playroom and I noticed it was awfully quiet sure enough the make up was out but fortunately they had just gotten started………and I “put it up” out of harms way!

Well, if you follow me at all you know that just about everyday I walk the family dog, I had just returned from my walk and my husband says to me, “Honey, check out the camera”…..thinking huh???? I did and thought OMG, what happened to my baby???? He then said to her to come up stairs and show mommy……she had found the makeup and was quietly applying it all over herself while daddy was upstairs making dinner none the wiser! makeup1 150x150 Our Daugher the Little Princess..... He had tried to wash it off….but it needed more than soap and water……

So, I got her in the tub and got the makeup remover out and with a little scrubbing…….she was squeaky clean and her beautiful self after a nice bath…….
Needless to say I have since found a new home for the makeup!
