I’ve mentioned before that I am on Facebook and there I have reconnected with lots of people from my high school.  Some I haven’t seen since I graduated and it has been lovely to be in touch again.  Some of them live very close to my dad and when they found out I’d be over they wanted to get together, I didn’t know how that would work with the surgery and all but we agreed to leave it open and see if an opportunity presented itself.

While at the hospital with my dad I had a couple of hours between him recovering from surgery where I couldn’t see him and picking my sister up at the airport so I called my friend and we decided to meet for coffee.  She called another friend and the three of us met up at a Starbuck’s nearby.

Friends together again!

It was great!  I was nervous but so happy to see them!  It’s so funny, we look and sound the same just older!!!! One of the gals I haven’t seen since we graduated so that was especially nice to see her again. We were on the swim team and the drill team together in school amongst other things! The other I had seen a few years ago when our youngest was one I think?! She and I were locker partners from 7th grade through to senior year and it is always fun to talk to her…both of them are just lovely women inside and out! We talked and laughed and talked some  more and before you know it it was time for me to head to the airport!  Not enough time at all!  As we were leaving we grabbed a local passer-by to take our picture…..(love those scrapbook moments….and blog moments and facebook moments….it all works! )

Still friends after all these years!!!

We decided we’d try and do it again, maybe an evening out, while I am going back and forth and I am hoping to make that work. So, I am looking forward to that and hmmmmm… maybe some more can come next time, that would be just awesome! A little reunion before the reunion kind of thing!

The coffee and company were great and I can’t wait to do it again!
