Well, it’s Monday again….the weekend was much too short as usual! We are up and at ‘em early this morning and ticking off things the to do list already! My house is an absolute disaster…..really….I have dirt on my dirt….YUCK! But before I can tackle that we need to go to the dentist, my youngest has an appointment to get her teeth cleaned.
I had mine cleaned last Monday and she went with me. We have been taking her since she was two and she really does a great job. At my appointment last week I had to have them check her front teeth as the Thursday before (yes, on my very last day babysitting!) the kids were playing leap frog and we had a whoopsie and she hit her mouth and bit her lip and it was bleeding and her teeth were loose……I freaked out! So, I called the dentist and they said to keep and eye on it (after they found out her teeth weren’t just hanging there mind!) and to bring her in with me to my appointment. I am also happy to say we no longer play leap frog……ever! 
They did a visual and then decided to do X-Rays on her and she went with them and did it all by herself in another room while I was having my cleaning! (WOW!) They got a great picture and we could see her permanent teeth forming. She arrived back in my room with prizes in hand for doing such a good job and looking quite pleased about it all!
I am glad we are going back today so they can check those teeth again. They seem to be tightening back up but ultimately it’s a wait and see kind of thing as it is difficult to really see if they were damaged bad enough to cause a problem. She is excited at the prospect of getting a new toy from them… I said, “Hmmmm, I don’t know, we will have to wait and see!” She said, “Well Mommy, I will be a good girl and I think I will get a prize!” (Whatever motivates her I guess in this case as she really does an awesome job!)
Well, we are back from the dentist….(ha! you didn’t even know I left did you?) and she did a great job, more X-Rays this time for the bottom teeth and she got her teeth cleaned and “vitamins” painted on them and yes, she even got a new key chain and a bouncy ball for being such a great patient! The dentist is awesome she is young and so very good with kids and we found out her birthday is the same as my daughters so that was fun for her!
With that done I am off to hit the dirt! And when my hubby comes home for lunch we are off to the Cable company to turn that baby off!
